Punjab initiates process to fill ex-servicemen backlog

Chandigarh, August 5, 2014: The Punjab Government has initiated the process to fill the backlog of the ex-servicemen. The backlog would be filled with in six months.
Disclosing this here today official spokesperson of the Welfare Department said that the Government has sought a consolidated report regarding the vacant posts of ex-servicemen in various departments. He said that this recruitment process to fill 13% backlog of ex-servicemen would be completed within six months.
The spokesperson said that this decision has been taken in pursuance of the state Government’s resolve to give due benefit to the ex-servicemen. He further said that written instructions to all the department heads have been issued in this regard.
