Chandigarh, November 2, 2015: The Punjab Government has instructed all the departments and sought information regarding recruitment made to Group-B, Group-C and D on the basis of interview and also the methodology adopted for the interview. This step has been contemplated by the Government to ensure putting a stop to the practice of interview during junior level recruitments and take effective steps in this regard.
Disclosing this, an official spokesperson said that the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi had suggested the cessation of interview system with regard to those posts of junior level where personality evaluation is not of prime importance. According to the spokesperson, the Prime Minister had expressed a desire that recruitments be carried out in fair and transparent manner through online mode on the basis of merit only. The spokesman said that the government was collecting the details from all the departments before taking a informed decision.
The spokesperson further said that the Government had instructed all the departments to furnish the sought information by 4thNovember.
