Punjab fixes rates for high security registration plates

Chandigarh, July 27, 2014: The Punjab Government has started the work of installation of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) on vehicles on high pace from May 5, 2014 continuously in the pursuance of orders of the Supreme Court.

Disclosing this here today, the Transport  Minister Ajit Singh Kohar  said that for this purpose state government has already been engaged M/S Egrouse Impex India Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi and  Transport Department has fixed the rates of HSRP with the agency. He said that the rates fixed for installation of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) are Rs.125 for two wheeler, Rs.169 for three wheeler, Rs.369 for LMV/four wheeler vehicles whereas Rs.124 for Tractor and Rs.324 for Heavy Motor Vehicles.

The Minister appealed the public to install the High Security Registration Plates only at fixed rates from the engaged agency. Any complaint regarding excess charge could be e-mailed on [email protected] on this regard.
