Punjab CM to inaugurate 60th national school games on Dec 8

Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Education Minister, Punjab on Monday reviews the progress of the arrangements for the 60th National School Games of National Style Kabaddi and Dodgeball at village Badal (Sri Mukatsar Sahib) on December 8.

Chandigarh, December 1, 2014: Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister, Punjab would formally inaugurate the 60th National School Games of National Style Kabaddi and Dodgeball at village Badal (Sri Mukatsar Sahib) on December 8. Disclosing this here today Dr.Daljit Singh Cheema, Education Minister, Punjab said that all the preparations in this regard have been completed.
Dr Cheema said that he reviewed the progress of the arrangements today in the meeting of the department. He said that Punjab is hosting the 60th National School Games which would be conducted in two phases. He said that during the first phase of the 60th National School Games at Sri Anandpur Sahib the competition of Circle Style Kabaddi, Boxing, Gatka and Handball have already been conducted now in the second phase the competition of U-19 (boys and girls) National Style Kabaddi and Dodgeball games would be held at Mata Jaswant Kaur Memorial School at village Badal.
Dr. Cheema said that around 900 players would participate in the games from all the states. He said that National Style Kabaddi would be played first time on the mat.
