The Infosys conducts a two day Campus Placement Drive at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus at Ferozepur.
Ferozepur, December 8, 2014: The Infosys, a multi-national company in field Information Technology, conducted a two day Campus Placement Drive at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus which is established by the Punjab Government.
The company has taken up Online Test of 160 eligible students of B.Tech. and MCA those are going to pass out in 2015. The written test was cleared by 38 students and 25 best students were selected for employment from SBS Campus and 3 from MIMIT Malout by Infosys after the interview phase.
Dr. T.S. Sidhu, Director of the institution informed that a team of the Infosys Limited, after taking the online test of the students, interviewed them. The selected students would get a package of Rs.3.25 lakh per annum initially and they will be given six-months training at Infosys Maysore Campus. He further said, “The institution is making continuous efforts for the placement of students under the guidance of BOG Chairman, Dinesh Lakra and to increase the employment opportunities of the students. Dr. Sidhu congratulated the selected students and appreciated the efforts of Professor Satvir Singh, Training & Placement Officer for arranging Infosys Campus Placement drive in the institute.
Chairman BOG Dinesh Lakra said that all round efforts are made to develop this institute of border area as world class institute. He further said that Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus got marvelous response from industries for conducing campus placement drive, after getting accreditation from National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Recently, seven companies have selected 35 students with a pay packages Rs. 2 to 6 lacs after conducting screening tests, group discussions and interviews. In addition, five more companies are in pipeline those are willing to visit SBS Campus in the month of December only.
