Chandigarh, March 8, 2016: In a significant decision, Punjab Government has given approval for the filling up the vacant posts of teaching nursing faculty that comes under the Medical Education and Research Department.
Disclosing this here today Medical Education and Research Minister Mr. Anil Joshi said that the Punjab Nursing Education Service Rules (Group A & B), 2016 had also been approved by the cabinet. He further added that all the vacant seats of teaching nursing faculty for two government nursing colleges namely Amritsar and Patiala could be filled once rules would come into force.
The Minister further said that regular teaching staff would give better education to nursing students and post graduate degree and diploma course could also be started in future. These colleges will remain affiliated to Indian Nursing Council.
