Punjab Amends Qualification Criterion For Appointment/Promotion Of Senior Assistant And Senior Scale Stenographer

Chandigarh, April 20, 2015: The Punjab Government has effected minor amendment in the Punjab Civil Services (General and Common services rule), 1994 by incorporating special clause for the recruitment of senior assistant and senior scale stenographer. As per the amendment now for the recruitment of senior assistant and senior scale stenographer (direct recruitment and promotion) besides requisite education qualification knowledge of computer and typing at prescribed speed/ stenography has been made imperative.

Disclosing this here an official spokesperson of the General Administration Department said that now onwards any candidate who applies for these posts and any government official who claim promotion at these posts would  have to fulfil these conditions before getting appointed/ promoted at the post of senior assistant and senior scale stenographer. He said that notification in this regard has been issued and written instructions have also been generated to all the departments of the Punjab Government.
