PU Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival Enters Day-2

Ludhiana, September 23, 2015: After the zealous commencement of the PU Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival – Ludhiana Zone-B at Ramgarhia Girls College, the festival entered the second day with equal gusto and verve. S.Sukhdyal Singh, M.D., Rattan Hammers Pvt.Ltd presided over the morning session as Chief Guest and S.Saroop Singh Alag, a renowned Punjabi writer, as the Guest of Honour. S. Raghbir Singh Sohal, M. D., Harison Engineering Corporation was the Chief Guest and Mrs. Manmohan Kaur, Director, Kartar Brothers Pvt. Ltd was the Guest of Honour for the evening session. The college Principal, Dr (Mrs.) Narinder Sandhu, S. Ranjodh Singh, President, S. Jagtar Singh, General Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council extended a cheerful welcome to the distinguished guests. Thereafter, the students of the PG Dept. of Music Vocal rendered a shabad exquisitely. The varied competitions that marked the day were - Indian Orchestra, Instrumental Music (Percussion and Non-Percussion,) Folk Orchestra, Folk Instrumental, On the Spot Painting, Photography, Collage Making, Clay Modelling, Cartooning, Still Life, Rangoli, Installation, Poster Making, Poem Recitation, Debate and Elocution. All the participants exhibited their creativity enthusiastically. Dr Nirmal Jaura, Director of the Dept. of Youth Welfare PU, lauded the efforts put in by the participants. Principal, Dr (Mrs.) Narinder Sandhu, congratulated the prize winners on clinching success and added that the months of practice that had gone into the preparation of these competitions showed itself prolifically. S. Ranjodh Singh also gave his best wishes to the participants who had clinched prizes at the festival and the ones who gave them a tough competition. He further said that such platforms make one awed by the amount of talent that young people possess. S. Jagtar Singh admired all the participants for making their presence felt on the festival.
