Karan Avtar Singh, Principal Secretary (Labour, Industries and Commerce), Punjab being given memento by the UCPMA office bearers at Ludhiana on Friday.
Ludhiana, February 8, 2013: Karan Avtar Singh, Principal Secretary (Labour, Industries and Commerce), Punjab visited the UCPMA office to address the members of the association on Friday.
He was welcomed by Gurmeet Singh Kular (President) and Manjit Singh Khalsa (Chairman) alongwith all officer bearers of the association.
The following points were discussed in details which were handed over to Sh. Karan Avtar Singh, IAS, Principal Secretary, labour, Industries & Commerce.
The association discussed industry related issues such as demand for the setting up of a new focal point, SAC approval, zoning violation of industry, no expansion/extension in mix land use areas, CLU in mix land use areas, industrial feeders in mix land use areas and new industrial policy of the state government.
Before the meeting, Karan Avtar Singh alongwith the UCPMA leaders visited small industrial units in the mix land use areas and non designated area. The factories visited were; M/s Bhamber Mech. Works, M/s Tejsons, M/s H.S Mankoo & Sons, M/s Ravi Industries and M/s Mankeet Singh & Sons.
