It's a defining moment in the life of any budding singer when living legends worshipped the world over praise his or her vocal abilities. Over the last few weeks, the talent pool from the current season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has been receiving appreciation and applause from all quarters. Be it the show's very own mentors - Mika, Pritam Da and Sajid-Wajid, the 30 jury members or actors like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar who've visited the sets recently, everyone's praising them for their exemplary vocals. But on the upcoming RD Burman special episode on 25th June at 9:30 PM, the singers received what they consider the highest honour and the most coveted compliment of their life. It came their way in the form of a praise by none other than the living legends - Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosale.

When Asha Tai came visiting the sets of India's biggest singing reality show on the occasion of World Music Day, she was floored by the talent and instantly connected her elder sister Lata Mangeshkar with the contestants on a call. The veteran singer spoke to all the contestants of the show, praising the young singers and even shared some priceless tips with regards to the competition.

Lata Didi said to the contestants, "You all are doing great and I am happy to see such extraordinary singing talent on this platform. Please do not get demotivated with the eliminations as it is just a competition and not the end of your life. Be happy and sing with full confidence."

Asha Ji said, "I am extremely delighted to be here on the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Paying singing legend R D Burman a tribute, the contestants of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa have presented some hit songs from the 80's and 90's. I felt nostalgic and they all took me down memory lane by singing those unforgettable songs."

Mika Singh said, "It is a dream come true to have Asha Ji join us on the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. And it was overwhelming to see both Lata Didi and Asha Ji appreciate me and all the contestants for our singing. For me it is bigger than receiving any Grammy Award. I haven't been able to sleep ever since I've spoken to Lata Didi. A big thank you to the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa team."
