Political jumpers have no place in public service

Private Sanskrit College at Sarahan to be taken over by Government; Mini Secretariat, Kabaddi sports hostel, new building for ITI announced
Shimla, June 4, 2017: Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh today laid foundation stones of building of government college, shopping complex at Chopal in Shimla district and Rs. 7 crore lift irrigation scheme to Kuthar Basadhar area.

Later, addressing a largely attended public meeting on the occasion of concluding of Chopal Utsav, Chief Minister said education has always been the priority of the State Government and it was committed to provide quality education upto the remotest and far flung areas of the State. He said classes would start immediately to provide higher education to students at Chopal itself. He announced that the Sanskrit College, Sarahan being run by private body would be taken over by the State Government for proper functioning of the college. He said that two degree colleges and one Sanskrit college in Chopal would strengthen the education network in the district by taking education to the remotest corner of the district.

Taking a dig at the present MLA of Chopal, Chief Minister said that political jumpers have no future and no place in the hearts of the public and public life. He said public was well aware that who had done developmental works in the area. He said jumpers cannot affect the government but would certainly ruin their own future.

He said that in democracy people should not go to public representatives rather public representatives should go to the door steps of public and resolve their problems. It was earnest duty of the representative to serve each and every person of the area that has elected him. Public representatives are often surrounded by sycophants and they should be able to differentiate between right and wrong.

The Chief Minister announced Mini Secretariat, Kabaddi Sports Hostel and new building for the ITI, Chopal.

Chairman, APMC Dr. Subhash Manglate said that all the major developmental works in Chopal area were done by the Congress Governments and the credit for this goes to Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh. He said the developmental map of the area is filled with the developmental works by the present government.

President Nagar Panchayat Chopal Shri Chander Mohan Thakur welcomed the Chief Minister.
