Pinegrove enters Finals of Wg Cdr S S Gyani Cricket Tourney

Panchkula, October 6, 2016: The second semifinal of the ongoing 7th Wg Cdr S S Gyani Memorial Cricket Tournament 2016, was held. The guest of honour for the toss ceremony was Mr.Sanjeev Vohra an Industrialist and father of Mr.Manan Vohra, The IPL Player of Kings XI Punjab and Punjab Ranji.

The second semi final match was played between Pinegrove School HP and The Gurukul Sec-20 Pkl. The toss was won by Pinegrove HP and they elected to bat. They scored 185 runs at the loss of 10 wickets. Anmol scored 56(23) with seven 4s. Saksham made 37(30) with Four 4s and Sanjog made 24(23 ) with five 4s. In the bowling department of The Gurukul Harsh Rana took 4 wickets in 4.3 overs, Abhinav 2 in 5 overs and Yogesh took one wicket in 3 overs.

In response The Gurukul was not able to achieve the target. They could manage to score 158 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. Harsh Rana made 56(60), Harshul scored 22(32) and Abhinav 16(18).

Anmol of Pinegrove, with his outstanding performance was declared the ‘Man of the Match’.

The final match of the tournament will be played between hosts St Soldiers, Panchkula & Pinegrove (HP) on 7th October.
