PIM organises 2nd FDP on Research Methodology

Jalandhar, April 6, 2015: Punjab Institute of Management (PIM), the Main campus of Punjab Technical University at Kapurthala, an eminent premier institution in management education began with its 2nd Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Research Methodology - Introduction to Multivariate Data Analysis and Time Series Analysis”. 
It was attended by over 25 participants including research scholars and faculty from various universities and colleges of Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Uttrakhand and New Delhi. Delegates participated in this extensive, stimulating and exciting workshop with zeal and were exposed to hands-on experience of diverse research methods and techniques used in high-quality researches.
This 2-day FDP was conducted by the faculty of PIM, namely, Dr. Harmeen Soch, Director In-charge, PIM and Dr. Kapil Gupta, Assistant Professor, PIM.
 The workshop began with introducing the delegates to research methodology and the various nuances of research issues affecting scholars and faculty these days. Eight extensive and thorough sessions of 90 minutes each were conducted and techniques like reliability tests, cluster analysis, hypothesis testing was conducted on day 1. Day 2 comprised of regression analysis for cross sectional data and time series data including unit root testing and autocorrelation.
The Director In-charge, Dr. Harmeen Soch said, "The FDPs and MDPs are an academic service which is the hall mark of every good academic institution and PIM will ensure that it continues with such workshops in the days to come.
