PCTE Runs to "PCTE runs to Support Indian Army"

LUDHIANA: February 22, 2019: PCTE Group of Institutes organized a run to support the Indian Army; the run was a tribute to the bravery of the Indian Soldiers who died in Pulwama attack. The run is conducted every year to encourage the students for an active lifestyle through running. The run started with a Flag off from PCTE Campus-II and concluded at Campus-I covering around 2 kilometers. The students along with the teaching and non teaching staff participated in the race. The students were highly motivated and cheered by their classmates and the faculty members which could be seen in their energy level. Chok from BBA 3B, bagged the First Position followed by Baldeep Singh from BBA 2B and Deepak from BHMCT 3rd Year bagged the Second and Third Position respectively among Boys. Among girls Priya from BioTec 3rd Year bagged the First Position followed by Pooja from B Sc. FD 2nd Year and Glorious from MLS 2nd Year bagged the Second and Third Position respectively. Among male faculty Mr. Lalit Kumar bagged the First Position followed by Mr. Apurav and Dr. Puneet who bagged the Second and the Third Position. Among female faculty the first position was bagged by Ms. Navneet Kaur followed by Ms. Sonam Uppal and Ruchi Chopra who bagged the Second and the Third Position. In Non Teaching staff Mr. Hardeep Sing followed by Mr. Abdul and Mr. Nika Singh bagged the Second and the Third Position. Prof. Swapan Chanana, Unit Head, PCTE said “This is a regular event, which helps the students to realize the benefits of maintaining good health and good lifestyle in the smart street world they have to create a space for themselves today”. He added that it was necessary that the students are in perfect health and activities like these shape the behavior of students. Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes congratulated the winners along with the participants for successfully completing the race and said that, Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, but also it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.”
