APEEJAY ORGANIZED GUEST LECTURE ON EMERGING MEDIA SCENE & TV PRODUCTION
Jalandhar, February 6, 2019: Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Apeejay College of Fine Arts organized a one day guest lecture on Emerging Media Scene & TV Production. Ashok Ogra from Apeejay Education Society and Sanjay Ahirwal from Mass Communication department of Apeejay Stya University featured as the resource persons for the same. Addressing the occasion, Principal Dr. Sucharita remarked that Mass communication is an emerging field and hence students ought to know its light and dark sides before they foray into it. Delivering address, Ashok Ogra told that with the advent of social media, journalism has assumed an altogether new role and functioning in the society. He also talked at length about conversation ecosystem and scripting techniques for TV & Social media. Sanjay Ahirwal discussed through a documentary about the working of TV, input desk, output desk, production house. Besides this, he remarked that media must highlight truth only and hedge controversial prejudices. Approximately 100 Journalism students from CT Institute, HMV, Kamla Nehru College, DAV, Jalandhar, GNDU Ladhewali Campus attended the guest lecture. Principal Dr Sucharita paid her gratitude to the media scholars and appreciated the faculty members Head of the Department Dr. Kadambari Nayyar and Navneet Kaur Narula for this venture.
