PCCTU TO LAUNCH AGITATION AGAINST DICTATORIAL ATTITUDE OF GNDU ON DEC 14 2018

Jalandhar, December 3, 2018: Punjab and Chandigarh College Teacher Union -PCCTU in an emergent meeting held at DAV College Jalandhar under the stewardship of Gen Secretary-Dr Sukhdev Singh Randhawa, Dr Tarsem Singh Bhinder -GNDU Area Secretary, Prof Sangeeta Sareen-Women Wing Convenor Punjab, Prof Daljit Singh Bhatia, Prof Sukhdev Singh Doroli and Prof Jagmohan Mago- Executive Committee Members PCCTU , Prof Sonia Arora -Women Wing Convenor GNDU Amritsar and Dr Tejinder Virli-Jalandhar District President unanimously resolved after deliberations with cadre and office-bearers that PCCTU has taken a strong note of GNDU's anti teachers stance and will strongly oppose the dictatorial attitude of GNDU by launching an agitation-cum-gate rally on 14 December 2018 against GNDU in Amritsar.
It is noteworthy that PCCTU has strongly opposed GNDU's lopsided, autocratic, totalitarian and authoritarian dictates of GNDU regarding the installation of CCTV cameras inside the examination halls of all the colleges, deputing centre superintendents and deputy outside superintendents on double duties every day and forcing teaching community to conduct Exams even in December vacations.
General Secretary-Dr Sukhdev Singh Randhawa has cautioned the university authorities that university authorities will be responsible for creating a deadlock like situation with the entire teaching community and PCCTU leadership has asked entire cadre to gird up their loins to take cudgels against the absolutism of GNDU.
