PU VC inaugurated Mobile Dental Van at PU

Chandigarh, December 7, 2018: Professor Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh today inaugurated and dedicated a mobile Dental Van to provide better Ooral Health Care to the residents of tricity especially addressing to the rural population.
The Van consists of two Dental Chair units fully furnished with X-rays, Extraction Facilities, Root Canal Treatment (RCT) facilities and other dental equipment required for elementary dental care, informed Prof. Ashish Jain, Acting Principal, Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital, PU.
VC said, with the installation of this mobile dental van, PU fulfills its promise to provide a better oral health care facility to the residents of the city. The van is designed to cater to the needs of the under-privileged citizens in the nearby rural areas and it also has a portable dental chair and accessories which can be taken to the interiors of rural areas. The mobile van shall be used in conjunction with other social wings of Chandigarh Administration and other NGOs for better oral health care of tricity residents.
Prof. Shankarji Jha, Dean University Instructions, Prof. Neena Capalash, Dean Student Welfare (W), Sh. R.K. Rai, XEN, Sh. Anil Thakur, Deputy Executive Engineer were also present.
