PB GOVT. constitutes 16 members committee

Chandigarh, February 14, 2013: The Punjab Government constituted a 16 member committee for 2012-13 to ensure the implementation and analysing the articles of Article 8-C of Punjab State Language Amendment Act 2008.

Disclosing this here today an official spokesman of Education Department said that Education and Language Minister Punjab would be the Chairman of this newly Constituted Committee. The spokesman further said that other members of committee were  Media Advisor to Chief Minister or nominated representative by Chief Minister, Advocate General Punjab or their representative, Principal Secretary Punjab School Education Department Chandigarh, Principal Secretary Higher Education and Language Department, Secretary Legal Remembrance, President of Punjab Sahit Academy Ludhiana and president of Punjab Kala Parishad Chandigarh,

The spokesman further said that Satnam Singh Manak executive Editor Ajit Jalandhar, Ritesh Lakhi PTC Channel Chandigarh and Baljit Singh Balli senior journalist, Parminder Singh Dhindsa Finance Minister Punjab, Satnam Singh Sandhu Chancellor Chandigarh University Gharaun (Mohali), Jaspal Singh Member Municipal Council Corporation Patiala and Avtar Singh Brar ex- Education Minister Punjab resident of Faridkot would also the members of the said committee.

Spokesman further said that Director Language Department Punjab would be the convener of this committee.
