Ludhiana, May 12, 2017: The Directorate of Extension Education, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), conducted a training course on the “Scope of Aromatic, Medicinal and Spice Crops” for the farmers and the farm women today.
Dr T.S. Riar, Course Coordinator, said the subject-matter specialists informed the trainees about the cultivation of mentha, turmeric, lemon grass, etc. Besides, experts delved on the insect-pest and disease management in these crops, their processing and marketing, he added.
On the occasion, M.S. Kusal, a progressive farmer, shared his experience regarding cultivation of aromatic, medicinal and spice crops.
Dr Rupinder Kaur, Professor of Extension Education, proposed the vote of thanks.
