According to Dr Manuj Wadhwa, Course Director, “On Day 1 we discussed topics that focused on making joint replacements both at primary and revision level more patient friendly. So most of the sessions today talked about how to mitigate patient pain, & manage specific situations in globally benchmarked ways – this was showcased effectively by the International Surgeons attending the Congress.”

A Panel discussion on Revision TKR(Total Knee Replacement) saw top names like South African Surgeon Dr Dick Van Der Jagt, Dr Paul Maitino from US & others discuss pertinent Revision TKR issues like Infection, implant removal, bone loss, assessment of ligament structure etc.

An interesting feature of the Day was a live surgery done by Dr Daniel Saris using Anthem Total Knee system, an implant launched Pan India through the Surgery. A live surgery: Revision TKR (Total Knee Replacement) using Zimmer – a joint replacement technology, was conducted by Dr Duncan Whitwell from UK.
