Ludhiana, November 1, 2012: The multi-storeyed parking lot in the premises of Mini Secretariat here has been opened to the general public from today onwards.
It has a capacity of 2,000 vehicles.
Now, people visiting to Mini Secretariat will not have to face harassment due to shortage of parking space as in the past.
The auction of the parking lot was conducted by the district administration yesterday. The auction has fetched Rs 45 lakh.
As per the available information, the contract has been allotted for five months.
A total of 25 bidders had participated in the auction.
Interestingly, the parking lot has been auctioned more than the reserve price of Rs. 31 lakh.
The contractor will charge Rs 20 for a four-wheeler (for 6 hours), Rs 10 for a two-wheeler and Rs 3 for a bicycle.
