The Department of English of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar on Thursday organised 'Paper Reading Contest' in which 50 students participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. They evinced varied and rational thoughts on well-worded topics viz. Craze of Fashion among Youth, We Can or Can't get Knowledge without Books, and We are over Dependent on Internet etc. Student Komal bagged the 1st position, Avneet Juneja and Kritikka were placed 2nd while Aakash and Parveen were 3rd, Mansi got consolation prize. Dr. Sucharita, Principal of the College lauded the efforts of the Department of English and congratulated the winners. She opined that such contests build up the confidence of the youngsters besides honing their public speaking skills.
