Medical experts examine patients dyring medical camp organised by PTU at village Khojewala.

Jalandhar, March 10, 2015: Under University Social Responsibility (USR), construction cum estate wing and NSS department of Punjab Technical University has organised a one-day medical camp in the near village named Khojewala.
Besides the locals living in the village, others from adjacent areas attended the medical camp and had their different health check-ups. In this camp, the doctors of civil hospital, Kapurthala checked more than hundred patients and provided them free medicines.
Prior beginning the camp, the Panchayat of the village organized a ‘guru-ardas’ (religious prayers) in the Gurudwara Sahib. Chairman of Market Committee Kapurthala, Ranjit Singh Khojewala appreciated the social efforts made by PTU time and again. Jagdish S Josh, President of Gurudwara Committee appealed to all the residents residing in the village and welcomed them in the medical camp organised.
Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Dr. Tilak Raj, Dr. Vicky Khojewala attended the patients in the camp. Sarabjit Singh, Sports Committee President expressed thanks to everybody.
On this occasion, PTU’s Dean Academics Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu; OSD to VC Er. Arun K Prabhakar; Xen Er. HP Singh; Deputy Registrar S S Walia, Geet, Deputy Controller Paramjit Singh, Dr. Amanpreet Singh, E O Vishal Beri etc were present during the medical camp. Besides, from the village side, Sarpanch Pal Singh, Surjit Singh, Jeeta Sohal etc were also present. Volunteers from NSS Akash Kumar, Deepak, Sonia, Harpreet and Arshdeep were present.
