Chandigarh June 18, 2015: Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh has invited applications for admission to various teaching departments at the PU campus.
PU Spokesman said that the students should apply irrespective of the declaration of the result of qualifying exam/Entrance Test. The students interested for various U.G. and P.G. Courses upto June 29 and for various Diploma Courses upto July 15 in the concerned P.U. department/Regional Centre.
PU Spokesman informed that various departments would conduct their own Aptitude Test for the admissions. Informing about the departments in which the admission is based on Aptitude Test, he informed that there are 29 seats in MA History of Arts in the Department of Art History and Visual, 15 seats in M.Sc. (2 years Course) in the Department of Centre for Stem Cell & Tissue Engineering, 29 seats in MA Gandhian and Peace Studies in the Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies, 23 seats in M.A. Indian Theatre in the Department of Indian Theatre, 50 seats in BA Hons (Education) B.Ed. in the Department of IETVE, 17 seats each in M.A. (Instrumental) & M.A. (Vocal) at the Department of Music. Students can apply for 68 seats in M.A. Sanskrit in the Department of Sanskrit, 30+4 seats in M.A. Social Works in the Department of Social Work, 46+6 seats in B.Sc. & M.Sc. five year Integrated Course in the Department of University Institute of Fashion Technology & Vocational Development, 35+4 seats in MA in the Department of Human Rights & Duties and 30+6+10 (in service police personnel) seats in MA in the Department of Police Administration.
The departments would conduct Aptitude Test for admission to 30 seats in the Diploma Course in Heritage Tourism at the Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology, 68 seats in Diploma in Translation in the Department of Hindi and 15 seats in Postgraduate Diploma Courses in Advt. and Public Relations at the Department of School of Communication Studies. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
