Dharamshala, July 31, 2017: CM Himachal Mr.Vir Bhadra Singh has said the opposition tried to disturb law and order in Shimla in Guddia's case by playing cheap politics over the death of an innocent girl.” He was talking to media at Dharamshala on Monday. CM further added, "BJP believes in violence and adopts cheap tactics nearing elections.”
It may be mentioned here that the CBI is now investigating into the rape and murder of minor girl in Kotkhai, Shimla even as public protests over the brutal crime continued.
Singh said, "As far as Tissa violence is concerned, it is being flared up by few RSS and supporters of BJP. Though the situation is under control.” Earlier, Virbhadra Singh cancelled an official visit to the interiors of Chamba district owing to the unrest in the area over the alleged rape of a student by a teacher.
The teacher, who allegedly committed the rape in Tissa four days ago, has since been arrested but locals are demanding action against other school staff. Earlier, a protesting mob had damaged shops and set on fire a rain shelter in Tissa, some 180 km from here.
On his way back to Shimla from Chamba, the Chief Minister on Monday inaugurated the three storey new circuit house at Dharamshala adjacent to the old circuit house, constructed with an outlay of Rs 5.6 crore having as many as 25 rooms, for CM, his staff and the Ministers to accommodate them particularly during Assembly sessions in Dharamshala. The top floor is exclusively for the Chief Minister which houses the transit office of CM., PA Room, Pantry etc.
He announced a sum of Rs.2 lakh for next of kin of family of Rakesh Pathania, a journalist of Dharamshala, who passed away on 9th July, 2017.
