ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON THEATRE AT APEEJAY

Jalandhar, September 29, 2018: One – day Workshop was organised by the Department of Theatre at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. The Resource Person was Dr.Jaspal Kaur, HOD, Theatre & TV, Punjabi University, Patiala. She introduced the students to the basics of Theatre and told them the difference between the acts done for Television and Theatre. She also made them do various games and exercises related to Theatre. She then gave the students various situations to act upon and they performed accordingly.
Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma appreciated the efforts of Dr.Jaspal Kaur and she added that Theatre is the stream one where it is important and a necessity to have the practical knowledge of the subject and students could learn this through such workshops. She added that in future too we will keep doing such workshops through which more benefits could be earned by students. She congratulated Mr.Gurpreet Singh for successfully organizing the event.
