OFFICE OF THE COMMISSION OF INQUIRY/ PUBLIC NOTICE

Whereas the Punjab Government has ordered an inquiry to be conducted by justice A.N.Jindal (Retd.) into the allegations relating to purchase and supply of Library books for Primary and Upper Primary Schools through a private supplies and Language Department respectively, Science Kits and map masters in the Department of Education, vide Government order dated 27.05.2013 and inquiry has to be conducted as per terms of reference (supplied in the Government order dated 1.6.2013), as mentioned below:-

1.     To enquire into the purchase/supply of library books for Primary and Upper Primary Schools of the Government of Punjab by the Private Supplier and the Language Department.

2.     To ensure into the purchase/supply of Science Kits to the Government Schools.

3.     To examine into purchase/supply of Map Masters in the Government Schools.

4.     The ambit of inquiry will include the role of any person in the purchase and supply of the aforesaid material.

Whereas through this Public Notice all the role of the interested persons who want to provide comments/facts/information in order to facilitate the inquiry may furnish their affidavits accompanied by documents. If any, personally or by registered post to the undersigned at the following address on or before 15.7.2013 for their perusal or consideration. The deponent furnishing such information would also supply hard copy and a soft copy of the affidavit and the documents so furnished.

It is also informed that vide notification No. 7/213/2013-3H4/3307, dated 8.6.2013 issued by the Department of Home Affairs and Justice, all the provisions of ‘The Commission of inquiry Act, 1952 shall be application to the above said inquiry’.
