Ludhiana, November 24, 2015: A blood donation camp was organised in the campus of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College on Tuesday by NCC, Punjab Battalion III to observe the NCC Week. Dr.Manohar Singh Saini, Director, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana was the Chief Guest on this occasion. The camp was presided over by Col. U.S.Mitharwal, Commanding Officer, 3 Pb. Batallion NCC, Ludhiana. The camp was inaugurated about 9.30 AM. Dr.Harwinder Singh, Officer Incharge, NCC (GNDEC Boys Wing), Prof. Puneet Narang, Officer Incharge, NCC (GNDEC Girls Wing), Prof. Deepinder Singh, Programme Officer (NSS, GNDEC), Head of Departments, Deans, Section Incharges, staff of GNDEC were present during the inaugural ceremony. There was a lot of enthusiasm among students of different educational institutions, who whole heartily participated in this event. About 50 unit blood of different groups was donated. The Chief Guest express his views that such type of events should be organized after a short interval as these inspire the spirit of donation among youth, who can change the scenario if they determine for some noble task. The blood donated will give birth to lot of human beings and in return they will give blessings to the donor.
