Police resort to lathicharge on peacefully demonstrating students, keep them in preventive arrest
New Delhi, November 28, 2016: Lacs of students from National student union of India, Frontal organization of the Indian national Congress, today were brutally beaten up by the Delhi police while they were approaching the parliament on the Jan Aakrosh Divas today. Lacs of students from all across the country participated in the peaceful protest which started from Rasina Road but the Delhi police manhandled the students lathi charged them and later took them under preventive arrest. Later they were released in the evening.

Speaking on the occasion, Sh Iqbal Grewal, President NSUI Punjab said that the saffron party has already waived of the loans of big corporate houses to favor them, why today the prime minister of India Sh Narender Modi doesn’t waive of all the education loans of the students across the country. This is demanded by the NSUI that the Prime minister should take this matter at the earliest and give big relief to the young brigade of India who is the actual custodian of the democracy in India. Further Sh. Grewal also demanded that the all the government colleges and universities should be immediately directed to exempt the academic fee for the session 16-17 or defer it till the March 17 because the parents don’t have the accrual currency to pay it. In case of the private colleges and the universities the old currency should be allowed atleast for this session.

Standing with the students of India, Sh. Grewal said that today the students are the most worsely affected in India with this step of the Sh Modi. The currency should be made available to the students under some special privileged section so that they are able to submit their fee or otherwise exempt them from this. This will create a explosive situation if not controlled right here. She warned the Prime minister to listen to the voice of the younger generation or otherwise face the wrath on streets.
