NOW GET MILK TESTED IN DAIRY DEPARTMENT’S OFFICES AND TRAINING CENTRES AT FREE OF COST

MAKE THE PEOPLE AWARE OF QUALITY STANDARD AND NUTRITIONAL VALUE OF MILK LUDHIANA, August 9, 2018: In order to ensure the residents can enjoy safe and healthy products under Mission Tandrust Punjab, Punjab Dairy Development Board (PPDB) has decided to offer free testing facility of milk in its offices and training centres in the state where anyone can go and get tested the milk from 9 am to 11 am in working days at the free of cost. This facility will be offered in PDDB’s offices, training centers throughout the district and officers have been exhorted to get a maximum number of milk samples tested. They have been ordered to send a daily report to the headquarters in this regard. Deputy Director Dairy, Dilbag Singh Hans told that the board has also given training to the officials about the procedure of milk testing at State Food and Drug Laboratory, Kharar. He added that that the board also regularly holding awareness seminars in the villages and disseminating the information about the milk, milk products, and maintenance of quality and care of cattle. Further, the experts from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Science University are also used to share valuable aspects about the milk and other products besides the information about various schemes of Punjab Government is also being given to the people in the camps, he revealed. He solicited fulsome support and maximum participation of the people in the program to make the Mission Tandrust Punjab a huge success.
