Appreciation of Punjab government’s vision towards sports

Bharahmin Sabha President Vipan Sharma has lauded the Punjab Government’s policy towards sports. He said, “It is really appreciable”. He opined that there is a need to boost sports in Punjab. Rajesh Seth, another city resident, said the state government should earmark more funds to boost sports in Punjab. Poonam Nanda said the Punjab Government’s positive vision towards sports will definitely yield positive results in the future.

Restore confidence among Hindu minorities in Pakistan; Kalia

Member National Executive of BJP Manoranjan Kalia has said the Hindus are in minority in Pakistan, the need of time is to take immediate measures for restoration of confidence among the Hindu minorities in Pakistan. He said that the Pakistan Minister Rehman Malik equating the issue of Babri Masjid demolition with Mumbai attack 26/11 is really unfortunate. He said the Pakistan Government should restore sense of confidence among the Hindus living in Pakistan. He said that the temples in Pakistan should be protected and the temples should not be razed in future.

Painting competition held

St. Soldier Divine Public School, Kapurthla Road, Jalandhar organised painting competition in the school premises. The objective of the competition was to highlight on the sensitive issues like environment, save water, female foeticide and drugs. The Principal of the school Hair Dutt Sharma spoke on the social issues to apprise the students. PRO Navjot Kaur also spoke.

Pledge to wipe out illiteracy

DSSD Kanya Senior Secondary School, Industrial Area holds annual prize distribution function. Anita Sehgal, wife of industrialist Narendera Sehgal, Director Kapson Industries, was the chief guest. The prizes were distributed to the students. In her speech, Sehgal said, “We should pledge to wipe out Illiteracy”. Amrit Kumar Bhuddia , Pritan Chand Bhuddia , Vinod Dada , C.M. Markanda , Chaman Lal Dada , D.K. Joshi , Kamljit Singh Bedi Councillor , School Principal Nishi Shukla , Asha Sharma, Munish Bahri , Raj Kumar Shukla, Arun Kumar and others were present.

Free homeopathy camp

Dr Bandish .D. Ambani , Dr R.S. Sodhi organised a free medical camp at Homoeo Care  Clinic , Urban Estate , Phase -1 Market , Jalandhar, in which patients suffering from thyroid were examined and treated. Among others, Dr Sarla, Dr Kamaljit Batra and Dr Kewal were present.
