Jalandhar, July 18, 2016: In honor of the former South African President and Nobel Laureate’s contribution to the culture of peace and freedom, the students of CT Public School celebrated Nelson Mandela International Day.
A poster making competition saw huge participation of students from Classes 8 to 12 with creatively painted portraits and pictures portraying Mr. Mandela’s monumental contributions to our world.
Through their paintings, they highlighted Mandela’s achievements in working towards democracy, human rights, peace and reconciliation. With colorful strokes they canvassed a wide range of paintings to spread the message of peace and harmony which is lacking in today’s competitive world.
Mrs. Suman Rana (Principal, CT Public School) said, “Mr. Mandela worked hard to help the people of his land and kept on fighting no matter what the cost. He never gave up. The activity concluded with Mandela’s motto that we must dream and work together for a better and more just world.”
Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) applauded the efforts of the students and encouraged them to participate in more such activities, to make each day more meaningful & consequential.
