Ludhiana, October 5, 2012: Dayanand Medical College and Hospital is hosting the 30th Annual National Conference of Indian Society for Medical Sciences (ISMSCON-2012) from 6th to 8th October.
This is the first time that this conference is being organised in this region of the country since the inception of the society in 1983.
The theme for the conference is “Understanding and Translating Statistical and Epidemiological Innovation into Biomedical Research' which is apt considering the world wide celebrations of the international year of statistics in 2012.
The conference is being organised by the Department of Community Medicine under the guidance of Organising Chairperson-Dr Anurag Chaudhary and Organising Secretary of the conference-Dr RK Soni,
About 400 delegates from India and abroad are coming to attend the conference.
The conference will be inaugurated by Professor TCA Anant, Secretary, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India. Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid University of Health Science-Dr SS Gill will also be gracing the occasion.
