Motivational Lecture on Personality Development at HMV

Jalandhar, March 17, 2016: The Society for Dynamic Growth of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a motivational lecture on Personality Development. The resource person was Dr.Ruby Dhalla, Ex-M.P. Canada. Principal Dr Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj welcomed her with bouquet of flowers. Head of Psychology Deptt. Dr.Jasbir Rishi introduced Dr.Ruby Dhalla to the students. She told the students that Dr. Ruby Dhalla was the first Indian Sikh Woman to be elected as M.P. outside India in 2004. Dr. Ruby Dhalla addressed the students and said that at the age of 10, she wrote a letter to the then Prime Minister of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi for resolving the dispute in India. Mrs. Gandhi replied her letter too. She said that your age doesn’t matter for doing good. If you have a dream in your life, then anything is possible. She said that success comes with a lot of hard work. She decided to join politics to give voice to youth and women. You have to be determined, strong and dedicated in life to achieve something. She encouraged the students to believe in yourself and keep working to achieve their goals in life.
On this occasion, a Nukkad Natak, written and directed by Dr. Nidhi Kochhar of Hindi Deptt. was also performed by students which was highly appreciated by Dr. Ruby Dhalla. The students also performed enactment of English Literary characters, Qwali, Mimicry and Sufi Song. Stage was conducted by Dr. Jasbir Rsihi. On this occasion, Mrs. Navroop Kaur, Mrs. Veena Arora, Mrs. Ramnita Saini Sharda, Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, Dr. Nidhi Kochhar were also present.
