Ludhiana, July 25, 2014: A mock mass casualty drill was carried out in DMCH with a view to validate its standard operating procedures. Over 30 mock patients posing as train accident victims reported simultaneously at Emergency Triage area. All the emergency services and personnel were mobilised to meet this contingency. A flurry of activity was witnessed as large number of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff rushed around to treat the patients. A very professional and efficient conduct was displayed by all the personnel participating the drill.
Col JV Singh, General Manager (HR & ER) said that all activities are being assessed by nominated experts and a review will be carried to further improve the preparation for meeting such eventualities.
