Deputy Commissioner holds meeting to observe Martyrdom Day of Shaheed-E-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh

Nawanshahr, March 18, 2014: Deputy Commissioner, Anindita Mitra while presiding over the meeting of the officials of the different departments in connection with the Maryrdom Day of the martyrs – Sardar Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev at Khatkar Kalan on March 23, here at Dilbagh Hall today, asked them to ensure proper upkeep of the ancestral house, park and the museum, security arrangements, healthcare facilities etc so that the people visiting Khatkar Kalan for paying tributes to the martyrs should not face any inconvenience.

She issued directions to repair the link road from museum to the ancestral house and the park and ensure proper cleanliness of the museum and the statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

She asked the GM, Punjab Roadways to ensure special bus routes and halting of buses at Khatkar Kalan. The Public Health Department has been asked to make arrangements for temporary toilets.

The DC also asked to depute Duty Magistrates and ensuring proper security arrangements for the conferences to be organised by the different political parties.
