Chandigarh, November 20, 2015: The Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister, Punjab, Mr.Madan Mohan Mittal today handed over appointment letters to 21 Craft Instructors here today at Udyog Bhawan. These appointments were made as part of a special drive of the Technical Education & Industrial Training Department to provide job opportunities to skilled youth.
Addressing the newly appointed instructors on this occasion, the Minister said that the department would soon give advertisement for filling the 40 posts which were remained vacant from earlier advertised 216 posts. He said that along with these 40 vacant posts, 169 new posts of Craft Instructors would also be filled in this recruitment drive. Listing out the achievements of the department, he said that the department has appointed 33 Senior Assistants, 155 Craft Instructors, 113 Service Providing Trainers and 25 Clerks on regular basis during the past 3 years.
The Minister while exhorting the newly recruited craft instructors to work with dedication and single mindedness of purpose also said that the Punjab Government is equipping its Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) with state of the art machinery and other modern amenities which would see 4600 trainees passing out from these institutions in the coming academic session.
On this occasion, Mrs. Daljit Kaur , Additional Director (Industrial Training), Mr. Jasbir Singh, Deputy Director (Administration) and Mr. Harpal Singh, Deputy Director (Administration) and other officers and employees of the department were also present.
