MISSION TANDARUST PUNJAB- ADMINISTRATION TO HOLD SPORTS TOURNAMENTS UNDER-14, UNDER-18 AND UNDER-25 IN NEXT MONTH

DC REVIEWS PREPARATIONS, HOLDS MEETING WITH OFFICIALS.

LUDHIANA, September 28, 2018: The Ludhiana Sports department is organizing sports tournaments in several games for various age groups under-14, under-18 and under-25.

Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal said that these special tournaments are part of Mission Tandarust Punjab. He said that under-14 (boys-girls) games would kick-start from October 8-10, under-18 (boys-girls) games would be held from October 16-18 and under-25 (boys-girls) games would commence from October 26-28.

Deputy Commissioner directed the heads of the various departments to complete all formalities much before the starting of the games. He asked the civil surgeon to depute medical team along with ambulance where the games are being held.

He told Municipal Corporation and police department to ensure proper cleanliness and security around locations of the games respectively.

District Sports Officer Mr Ravinder Singh said that matches of Athletics, Basketballs, Badminton, Table Tennis and Weightlifting are being organized in Guru Nanak Stadium, Kabbadi, Judo, Gymnastics, Wrestling and, Volleyball would be held in Multipurpose Hall, Hockey and Handball in PAU, Football in Guru Nanak Public School, Swimming in MC Pool and Rakh Bagh and Boxing game would be held in Naresh Chander Stadium Khanna.

Mr Agrawal said that player can produce their birth certificate or Aaadhar card for the registration.
