Day 2 of Inter College Sports Meet at Nauni University

The second day of the Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF) Annual Inter College Sports and Games Meet and Youth Festival witnessed some close matches between the competing teams. The contingents of the three constituent colleges of the University- College of Horticulture and College of Forestry from the main campus and College of Horticulture and Forestry, Neri are taking part in the four-day extravaganza.

Competitions in the Youth Festival also got underway today. Elocution, debate, extempore, on spot painting, poster and collage making events falling under the literary and fine arts category were held. Two students from each college participated in every event. The competitions in music, dance and theatre categories will also be held in the remaining two days of the fest.

Results (Day 2)

In basketball (boys)-College of Horticulture beat College of Horticulture and Forestry (Neri). The basketball(girls) match between College of Horticulture and Neri College was also won by the former. In the girls’ volleyball event, Neri beat Horticulture College while Forestry College was trounced by Horticulture College. In kabaddi (Girls), Horticulture beat Forestry and Neri Colleges. Meanwhile in the boys kabaddi, Neri College team outclassed Horticulture College. In football (boys), Forestry beat Neri 4-0. In 5000 meters race, Tejinderpratap of Forestry College stood first. Rahul from Neri and Tokajema from Horticulture bagged the second and third spots respectively.
