Minister himself detained illegally operated Volvo buses

Dharamshala, November 30, 2016: Himachal transport minister GS Bali today morning at 3.30 am himself lead an operation to catch illegally operated Volvo buses from Delhi to Dharamshala.
Accompanied by high level transport officials of state minister begun operation from Kangra and kept it up to Umb on Dharamsala Chandigarh National highway to detain 9 privately operated buses. Minster took empty state transport buses buses along with to carry passengers traveling in these buses to their destinations.
Reports says that individual statements were recorded of passengers on the spot to give the operates a legal kick.
Himachal Road Transport Corporation is running half a dozen buses on Dharamsala Delhi route, whereas private operators run about double such luxury buses daily ,illegally and gave a heavy tax blow to the state government.
Minister is expected to address a press conference later today.
Meanwhile, the HRTC official said that during the operation in the early hours of 30th November 8 private Volvo buses were checked on Delhi –Dharamshala route, which are running illegally. 7 Buses were impounded and one released after a fine of Rs.5000.
In a press conference addressed by Transport Minister today noon at Kangra, the Minister G S Bali said, “There were many complaints that private Volvo buses are being operated from Dharamshala and Manali on interstate routes without the valid permits. As the Local officials failed to take action, I have to take the initiative with Joint Commissioner Transport Capt. R S Rathore, police and other concerned officials.”
Minister said that the Regional Transport Officer of Dharamshala has been ordered to charge sheet the concerned officials who avoided to act in this direction. He said that the action against those travel agents shall also be taken, who are engaged in booking seats in these buses online.
