Mika turns contestant and Jams it Up on a Party Songs Special Episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

With the first elimination last weekend on India's biggest singing reality show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa', the competition in the battleground of singing has become even tougher. This weekend, on Sa Re Ga Pa, the theme being party songs, contestants from all the three teams led by mentors Mika Singh, Sajid Wajid and Pritam Chakraborty, will be seen bringing the house down with the most rocking numbers that are a rage on the party circuit.

While contestants impressed the jury, mentors and audiences alike with their performances, an interesting surprise by mentor Mika Singh had the audience in the studio in a state of frenzy, grooving to the party beats. As per the week's theme, contestants had to perform duets and with the count of contestants down to 11 after the first elimination, it was Rupali Jagga from Mika's team who was left without a partner. So, mentor Mika jumped to her rescue and for the first time on Indian television, performed a remixed, lounge version of the classic track 'Intehaan Ho Gai Intezar Ki' with his team member Rupali Jagga. From seeking feedback from the 30-member jury or fellow judges Pritam Da and Sajid-Wajid, Mika Singh was humility personified. The icing on the cake was when Mika perfectly imitated all the contestants and showed how these kids thank the jury members and mentors after every performance. In particular, he pulled contestant Jyotica's leg repeating her patent dialogue 'It means a lot to me'.

Mika Shares, "It was an amazing experience for me to perform with Rupali. She isn't only a great singer, but a fabulous performer and dancer too. When she performs no one watches me, it's my earnest request to Rupali to teach me few of her signature dance steps." Singing with her mentor Mika, Rupali shares; "Today was one of the most memorable moments of my life. Never had I thought even in my wildest dreams that I would get an opportunity to share the stage with such a renowned singer. I'm truly blessed to be in his team. Needless to say, Mika Ji is himself a great dancer and can give tough competition to anyone."

While Mika learnt a few dance steps from Rupali, it was the jury who was simply bowled over by Mika's breath-taking performance. This weekend get ready to witness the magical voices of the super talented Top 11 contestants who are all set to mesmerize you with their powerful acts!
