Lucknow, April 10, 2017: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr.Yogi Adityanath has said that all pending issues with neighbouring Uttarakhand would be sorted out at the earliest. He added that Chief Secretaries of both the states will meet within three months to take necessary decisions. He also pointed out that matters pending for so long after the creation of Uttarakhand were not in the interests of either states.
The Chief Minister was today holding consultations at his official residence with his visiting Uttarakhand counterpart Mr.Trivendra Singh Rawat on disposing off pending matters and properties. During the meeting the Chief Minister also directed additional Chief Secretaries/Principal Secretaries/Secretaries of concerned departments to ensure that their comments on matters pertaining to their departments, under all circumstances, are sent to the Uttarakhand government before May 10, 2017.
It may be pointed out here that among the pending issues and properties between the two states include matters pertaining to the irrigation, energy, transport, finance, housing, food and civil supplies, home, tourism, training and technical education, information and public relations, animal husbandry, forest, rural development, sugar industry and cane development, secondary education, industrial development, cooperative department and Uttarakhand State 'Warehousing' Corporation.
Also present at the meeting were UP's Irrigation Minister Mr.Dharampal Singh and senior officials of the concerned departments.
