LUDHIANA RURAL POLICE NABS 4 MEMBERS OF LOOTER GANG

Jagraon, October 30, 2017: While addressing press conference, Sh.Surjeet Singh IPS, SSP Ludhiana (Rural) told that under the supervision of Sub-Inspector Bikramjit Singh, SHO, PS Dakha, on 28/10/2017, ASI Surjit Singh I/C PP Chowkiman along with Police party while on patrolling, was present at village Hans Kalan and then he received a phone call from Nambardar Harbhajan Singh r/o village Dholan that Harwinder Singh S/o Piara Singh has been robbed of after being severely injured and he has been admitted to Civil Hospital Jagraon. On this, ASI Surjit Singh reached Civil Hospital and recorded the statement of Injured Harwinder Singh who narrated that he is working as record keeper in Historic Gurudwara Kaonke Kalan. On 28.10.17, at about 05.00 PM, he was returning to his Vill. Dholan and at around 05.30 PM, when he just crossed Akhara Canal Bridge and was on Raikot road near Brick Killn then two motor cycles make Platina and Yamaha No. PB 08 BQ-3111 on which Amandeep Singh and Ramandeep Singh both S/o Kewal Singh who is Granthi of Gurdwara village Dholan, r/o Amargarh Kaler alonghwith other two to whom they were calling Gopi & Raju riding came from behind who were armed with iron rods wrongfully restrained Harwinder Singh and attacked him with iron rods. Firstly Amandeep Singh hit him on his head followed by Raju hitting him on left leg. Mean while Ramandeep Singh also gave a severe hit on his left shoulder. when Harwinder Singh was severely injured, they removed his purse from rear pocket of trouser and took away the amount of Rs.10,000/- alongwith other important documents such as ATM card, I/card, Adhar Card, Keys and fled away from the scene. By doing this, they on the pretext of extortion, robbed Harwinder Singh with giving severe injuries.
