Ludhiana, November 19, 2013: Punjab PWD minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon inaugurated 66 KV Sub Station at Village Bhagpur today.
Speaking on the occasion he said that with the commissioning of this 66 K.V. Sub Station surrounding 10 villages will get direct benefit and around 25 villages will get indirect benefit. He added it will help in improving the living standard of the people of these villages .
He said cost of this sub-station & allied works is about Rs.4 crores and work of this sub- station has completed within few months. He added electricity is an indispensable requirement for any state to progress and Punjab Government is taking sincere steps for adding electricity generation in the state.
He said that Punjab state would be power surplus by December this year. Chairman Punjab Mandi Board Ajmer Singh Lakhowal, Chairman Verka Milk Plant Ajmer Singh Bhagpur were also present on occasion.
