LSCL Director Ar Sanjay Goel writes to Sidhu- Stop commercialization of residential areas in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, March 28, 2019: Ludhiana Smart City Limited (LSCL) Director and Chairman-IIA Punjab Chapter Ar Sanjay Goel has written to Local Government Minister, Punjab Navjot Singh Sidhu demanding to check commercialization of residential areas in Ludhiana. He wrote to the minister that “this is to bring to your kind notice that a lot of forceful commercialization of residential areas is taking place in Ludhiana which is further multiplying problems of traffic congestion, pollution and haphazard growth. There should be proper long term planning of Ludhiana city on the pattern of Chandigarh without any political interference. State Government must take more interest for proper and fast growth of Ludhiana city to make it livable and smart. Number of departments for development must be least and coordination must be highest among various agencies to make Ludhiana Smart in real sense. Ludhiana is waiting for its proper Airport, Bus stand, Railway flyovers, congestion free roads and clean Buddha Nullah since many years.” “We request you to kindly visit the city as soon as possible and take long term decisions to really make it neat and clean Manchester of India”, concluded Ar Sanjay Goel in his representation sent to the Punjab minister.
