LKCE Student bags Performance medal in World Taekwondo Hanmadang 2015

Jalandhar, August 19, 2015: The World Taekwondo Hanmadang-2015 was held at Pyeongtaek City, South Korea from 30th July 2015 to 2nd Aug 2015. The Taekwondo Federation of India, TFI also participated under the auspicious Kukkiwon. Goldy Banger(S/o Satnam Kumar),a student of B.Tech Civil (3rd semester) from LKCE also participated in the competition. He has made the college proud by winning performance medal for his participation.

The World Taekwondo Hanmadang is a contest held every year by Kukkiwon which shows the essentials of the martial art such as breaking, self defense and poomsae. Goldy Banger has also been practicing Taekwondo since the age of 12 years under the training of Coach Mr. Ajay Kumar.

Dr.Y.S Randhawa (Director) stated that it is a great achievement by Goldy Banger. He said “ A sound mind is in a sound body” that is why our Institute focuses on Overall personality development of students. In current scenario of Globalization not only good Academics but characteristics  such as Sportsmanship, Good Communication skills, Confidence ,Team Work, Charming Personality and Hard Work are also required.

Sardarni Balbir Kaur (President, Governing Council) congratulated him for this achievement. She stated At LKCE; the emphasis is on the holistic growth & development of students. Our endeavor is to make our students a good Engineer, efficient leader, sportsperson and a good human being so that he can contribute in a positive manner to society

S.Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director, Academic Affairs) also congratulated him and stated that at LKCE, we also endeavor to inculcate moral, ethical and human values to make them responsible citizens of the country.
