Jalandhar, February 11, 2016: The Literary and Dramatics Club of Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus organised a series of literary competitions for students of various classes. The event included 'Declamation Contest, Creative Writing Competition and Poster Making Competition. The theme for these competitions was 'Potential of Youth in Nation Building.' The competitions aimed at encouraging the students to express their opinions, showcase their command over and fluency in English language and build their confidence. The students came up with brilliant ideas on how we could lead our nation to emerge as one of the most flourishing economies. They expressed if the Indian youth is committed to be really competent in their respective fields, it is going to help th nation go a long way. The youth of a nation is its real asset and has the potential to help grow the country.

Liakatbir Singh of MBA II bagged first position in Declamation Contest and Nikita Vij of the same class got second position. Ishita Verma of MCA IV got first prize while Nikhil Mahajan of BBA II and Prakamya Suman of BCA II got second position in Creative Writing Competition. Manjeet Kaur was awarded Certificate of Appreciation for her thought-provoking poster.

Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus said that such competitions help students improve and hone their Public Speaking Skills and writing prowess. He added that good speaking skills are imperative for bagging lucrarive jobs. This club is set up to chisel such skills of the students.
