Noted Artiste Vidushi Mahalaxmi Shenoy Performs at Ludhiana

Ludhiana, March 14, 2016: The PG Department of Music Vocal, Ramgarhia Girls College, organised an event wherein a renowned young and talented artiste, Vidushi Mahalaxmi Shenoy, rendered classical vocal music. Principal, Dr (Mrs) Inderjit Kaur accorded a cordial welcome to the guest. Mentored by the best artistes of India, Shenoy has numerous live concerts and albums to her credit. She is from Kirana Gharana and with her complete devotion towards Hindustani music; she has become a name to reckon with. She gave a soulful performance at the college and motivated the students to practise regularly to polish their art. Dr (Mrs) Inderjit Kaur averred that with its various accomplishments, the PG Dept. of Music Vocal has always done the college proud. She added that the presence of a well-known artiste like Ms Shenoy will prove to be a source of inspiration for the students. She appreciated Mrs Charanjit Kaur, HOD, PG Dept. of Music Vocal, and her team for organising the event. S. Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council, said that the success of Ms Shenoy epitomises that if one is determined and focused, age is no bar. He asked the students to take a leaf out of her book and work diligently to make their mark in the field of music. S. Jagtar Singh, General Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council, expressed his gratitude towards the crooner for sparing time from her busy schedule and said that her spectacular performance has made the day a memorable one for the students.
