Levine offers Knightley recording deal

Los Angeles, July 22 (IANS) Actress Keira Knightley has been reportedly offered a recording contract by singer Adam Levine, who is keen rope her in for his new label 222 Records.

Knightley, who plays a songwriter along with Levine in their new movie "Begin Again", is said to have impressed the Maroon 5 frontman with her vocal abilities, which prompted him to offer her a recording deal.

"Keira has many offers on the table and is tempted by them. She enjoyed singing in the movie and people around her were impressed," femalefirst.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

"Adam has just started a label called 222 Records and has been trying to persuade Keira to sign a deal with him," the source added.

The "Harder to breathe" hitmaker was so impressed by Knightley's talent that he now believes adding her to the new label will give it a "kickstart" in the industry.
