Legislative affairs department to fill posts of Law Officers, Assistants (Legal) Department
Chandigarh, December 3, 2014: The Punjab legislative affairs department has invited applications from eligible candidates working in other departments to fill the posts of 5 law officers and 1 assistant (legal) in the office of Legal Remembrance and Secretary, Punjab Government, Legal and Legislative Department.
Giving details, a Government spokesperson said that these vacancies will be filled up on the basis of transfer from amongst the Law Officers and Assistants (Legal) serving in the other departments.
The spokesperson also said that the posts of law officers will be filled from amongst such officers of departments other than law and legislative, who are law graduate and have an experience of working as assistant involving legal work for minimum 2 years. For the post of assistant (legal) a person must possess degree in law and those candidates will be preferred who have experience of practicing at the bar for a minimum period of 1 year or should have worked on a post involving legal work for minimum 1 year.
According to the spokesperson, instructions have been issued to all the Financial Commissioners, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and Heads of the department to send the entire service record and applications of the employees working in their departments, who fulfill necessary qualifications and are willing to serve, in the legal remembrancer and secretary, Punjab Government, law and legislative department, permanently on transfer basis to the legal remembrancer and secretary, Punjab Government, room no. 25, 4th floor, Punjab Civil Secretariat, sector-1, Chandigarh till 5th December
